My First Blog Ever

I never thought I would be making a blog online ever. I usually just share my thoughts in a text or a phone call so I guess its the same thing. So I went out last night to a bar a have never been before to just get my feet wet, along with my pallet, and see what the band was like. I was surprised that I had such a great time. The band played all songs I knew and could sing along to, plus I saw some of the people I graduated high school with. I really wanted to start taking pictures there and passing out P1 cards but I don't have the materials yet. After that I went to see my brother at a party. So I guess I am just writing a story about my travels around the college music seen and that just sounds like a whole bunch of fun.

A little bit about me:

I am a Senior at the University of Rhode Island with a major in communications. I was checking my graduation progress and it turns out I only need two credits to graduate! I thought that was so crazy, it isn't even a whole class! I am from Connecticut, I grew up in the home of ESPN, Bristol and when I was younger I would stay with my Grandma at the Radisson hotel down the street from ESPN and all the sports stars would stay there along with the broadcasters. I was able to meet many fascinating people and from then on I was determined to be a part of the entertainment industry.

2008 was a very interesting year for me and I got to see what I want out of a career. I took two internships, one was in an office every day and the other was at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. It was like day and night when I compared them. I was so bored in that office, all I did was sit there all day and organize stuff on a computer. I wore a tie every day which was a first for me and I found that fun. At Disney however, I had great time. I was able to interact with guests constantly and that was much more stimulating. They wanted to make sure every guest was happy so we as cast members were able to strike up conversations and play if the situation arose. I had the most fun just talking to anyone about anything while I was at work. I also met the best friends I have ever had. We live hundreds of miles apart but have talked every day since we parted ways.

I am also very excited to work with P1 because I can see that it is quite similar to the time I had at Disney. Going out and interacting with many different people and making relationships its just fun in itself. I can't wait to find out how this part of the business works and how I can help.
